Potential Research Misconduct فارسی

All the cases presented in this section are examples of research misconduct and will be dealt with by the Journal of Stylistics and Analysis of Persian Poetry and Prose.
• Data fabrication and falsification
Data fabrication means that the researcher has conducted the experiment, but has manipulated, changed, or deleted the data or the results and findings of the research.

• Redundant publication
Redundant publication occurs when two or more articles, without proper cross-referencing, share essentially the same hypotheses, data, discussion points, and conclusions.

• Citation manipulation
Citation manipulation is the inclusion of excessive citations in a submitted manuscript that do not contribute to the scientific content of the article and are solely for increasing the citation of an author or articles published in a specific journal. This is a type of scientific misconduct.

• Simultaneous submission
Simultaneous submission occurs when a copy (or significant parts of a copy) of a manuscript is submitted to a journal that is already under review by another journal.

• Salami slicing
Salami slicing involves the inappropriate splitting of the results of a study into several articles, often resulting from the desire to fill out an academic resume.

• Inappropriate authorship or attribution
All listed authors must have a significant scientific contribution to the research in the manuscript and must endorse all its claims. The role of all those who have had a significant scientific contribution to the preparation and writing of the article, including students and laboratory technicians, should be acknowledged.

• Plagiarism
