The significance of the topic lies in the fact that fantasy, as one of the functional genres in children’s and young adult literature, plays an important role in responding to the mental needs of its audience. METHODOLOGY: The research method is based on qualitative–textual analysis. First, the theoretical foundations of fantasy and imagination in children’s and young adult literature are reviewed; then, the text of the selected series is examined analytically. The focus is placed on techniques of fantasy‑making, types of imagination, and functional narrative actions. FINDINGS: The findings indicate that the author, by employing various possibilities of fantasy—such as escape from time and space, characterization, thematic construction, modes of entry into the fantasy world, and different forms of imagination—has succeeded in creating a narrative space rich in imagination and surprise. Innovation in language and creative word‑formation, the use of symbols and mythological motifs, and the incorporation of intertextual references are among the strengths of the series. CONCLUSION: Sorena dar Sarzamin-e Dinosorha is a novel within the field of children’s and young adult literature that, in addition to utilizing common fantasy‑making techniques, introduces a fresh approach to the formation of fantasy through linguistic and narrative innovation, making it a noteworthy work.زمینه وهدف: این پژوهش با هدف بررسی شیو‌ه های فانتزی‌سازی و کنشهای کارکردی در مجموعۀ پنج‌جلدی سورنا در سرزمین دایناسورها اثر الهام مزارعی انجام شده است. اهمیت موضوع در آن است که فانتزی به عنوان یکی از ژانرهای کاربردی در ادبیات کودک و نوجوان، نقش مهمی در پاسخگویی به نیازهای ذهنی مخاطبان ایفا میکند. روش: روش تحقیق مبتنی بر تحلیل کیفی–متنی است. ابتدا مبانی نظری فانتزی و تخیل در ادبیات کودک و نوجوان مرور شده، سپس متن مجموعۀ مورد مطالعه با رویکرد تحلیلی بررسی گردیده است. تمرکز بر شگردهای فانتزی‌سازی، انواع تخیل و کنشهای کارکردی در روایت بوده است. یافته ها: نتایج نشان میدهد که نویسنده با بهره گیری از امکانات فانتزی مانند گریز از زمان و مکان، شخصیت‌پردازی، درونمایه سازی، شیوه های ورود به جهان فانتزی و انواع تخیل، توانسته است فضایی سرشار از تخیل و غافلگیری خلق کند. نوآوری در زبان و واژه سازیهای خلاقانه، استفاده از نمادها و سمبلهای اساطیری و بهره گیری از روایتهای بینامتنی از جمله نقاط قوت این مجموعه است. نتیجه گیری: مجموعۀ سورنا در سرزمین دایناسورها رمانی در حوزۀ ادبیات کودک و نوجوان است که علاوه بربهره گیری از شگردهای رایج فانتزی‌سازی، با نوآوریهای زبانی و روایی توانسته رویکردی تازه در شکلگیری فانتزی ارائه دهدواثری درخور توجه شود.ادبیات, فانتزی, کودکان و نوجوانان, مزارعیLiterature, Fantasy, Children and Young Adults, Mazar’ihttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/2013.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/2013.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/شیوه های فانتزی‌سازی و کنشهای کارکردی در مجموعه داستان «سورنا در سرزمین دایناسورها» اثر الهام مزارعیhttps://bahareadab.com/en/article/Fantasy-making methods and functional actions in the story collection "Sorena in the Land of Dinosaurs" by Elham Mazarei
