A Stylistic Study of Reza Ghasemi's Novels

Abstract
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: Style has been considered a kind of harmony between the specific expression of each writer or poet and his thoughts that are seen in his works. Therefore, each person"s style is like his fingerprint and signature that is placed at the foot of the work. Therefore, in order to better understand a work, one must pay attention to the way and method of using language, structure, thought, and other literary elements in a literary work. The present study is dedicated to examining the stylistic characteristics of Reza Ghasemi"s novels.
METHODOLOGY: The present study was conducted using a descriptive-analytical method and a library method.
FINDINGS: Reza Ghasemi is among the writers in whose works, style plays not only a role accompanying meaning, but also a role that creates meaning. In his novels, language, rhythm, inner music, and the multilayered structure of the narrative are tools through which the mental world and identity crises of the characters are represented. By using long sentences, musical structures of language, playing with sounds, and creating an internal rhythm, Ghasemi transforms style into a constructive element of the story world. Through these stylistic patterns, rather than through content, the reader enters a psychological and disjointed experience of the story world.
CONCLUSION: Ghasemi’s style has undergone a transformation from a luxurious language carrying tragic-philosophical meaning to a simple language carrying psychological feeling, which, from a theoretical perspective, confirms that the function of the text in his later works has tended towards the externalization of worldview and then the internalization of lived experience.
